Gigaware 2.0 Multimedia Speakers, specs for 4000431

- Nov 8, 2014

The Gigaware 2.0 Multimedia Speakers make an ideal gift for the 2014 holidays, so today we want to review the specs and take a quick look at the pros and cons. The pair of speakers we are looking at today can be found at a few retailers across the United States, although we found the Gigaware 2.0 Multimedia Speakers with model number 4000431 at Radio Shack.

As you can tell right away from the product name, these are 2.0-Channel speakers that would be perfect for a laptop or desktop computer setup. The previous generation from just a couple of years ago were more square in design, but the latest model 4000431 reveal a much more stylish finish.

With that said, the specs for these Gigaware 2.0 Multimedia Speakers are very basic and you will find a volume control along with on/off switch externally.

There’s a handy option to plug some headphones or earbuds into the headphone jack located on the speakers, which is perfect for keeping the sound from annoying others around you. This would of course defeat the point of these speakers, but it’s nice to have that option at least.

Most computer speakers need to be magnetically shielded to stop interference with computer monitors and that feature is included with this model. The measurements or even basic dimensions are not included in the official specification list. The price for these Gigaware 2.0 Multimedia Speakers is $17.99 on Radio Shack at the time of writing, but we expect this product to drop slightly during Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales this year.

Bottom-line: If you are looking for good computer speaker sound quality at a reasonable price, then these speakers are a good option. Those of you looking for something more featured-packed should shop around and pay a little more.
