Porsche has upgraded its Cayenne GTS model and with it comes a host of new changes, all of which should make the 2015 more appealing to you and I. They also have a new entry-level model, although we will take a closer look at that another time. Today, we wanted to see what the 2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS has to offer by way of its upgrades, and we know for certain it comes with a small performance increase.
Porsche Cayenne GTS engine specs and performance – The new 2015 model is powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which manages to pump out an impressive 434 horsepower and 443lb ft of torque. Compare this to the previous model that came with a V8 engine, and you gain an extra 20hp and 63lb ft of torque.
This increase is enough to propel the new Porsche Cayenne GTS from 0 to 62mph in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 162mph, which is pretty fast for a vehicle of this size.
Other 2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS changes – The new model has been lowered by 200mmm, which does not seem much, but is just enough to make it feel more precise when working in conjunction with Porsche’s Active Suspension Management. Seeing as though the new Cayenne GTS is faster and is able to take corners at greater speeds Porsche has upgraded the brake discs to 380mm in diameter on the front and 358mm at the rear. Autocar says these are the very same brakes used on the Cayenne Turbo, which we know has even more power.
The Porsche Cayenne GTS 2015 price will be £72,523 and will make its debut at the 2014 LA motor this month.
