Those of you who are on the lookout for a cheap tablet, we have another suggestion to make with a different tablet that is ideal as a gift for a friend or loved-one. The Proscan 7-inch tablet with case and keyboard is at the low-end spectrum due to its price, but you’ll find that it is still a very capable tablet with decent hardware performance.

For many consumers, paying hundreds of dollars for a new iPad is just not an option. Many are now looking for tablets which are under the magical $100 price point and now Proscan in particular has gone the extra mile to cater for those that are looking for minimal performance at a magical price.

With this in mind, we can now bring you a series of Proscan 7-inch tablet reviews from those who have already bought one. First though, we give you an introduction to Proscan 7-inch tablet specs to show you what this tablet can and cannot do.

Basic specs include a 7-inch display with a 800×480 pixel resolution. There’s only 512MB RAM on board and the processor is offering 1.Ghz speeds only.

Unlike other budget tablets though, we are pleased to see Google Play support on board and there’s also a front facing camera for video chats – but no rear camera.

Storage size is also kept to a minimum with 4GB of memory inside, but expandable to 32GB if you have a MicroSD card at the ready. This tablet is also running on an older version of Android – not Lollipop but rather Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

As a result of the far-from-perfect specs, price is going to be the key factor to tempt you into a purchase. Most will already be aware that this tablet is already selling under $100. However, we’ve been tipped off that you may be able to get it for well under $100, so you definitely want to keep your eyes open if you are interested.

There’s no fancy and glamorous specs on offer here with the 7-inch Proscan tablet, but you do get decent performance and also a keyboard and case thrown in at no extra cost.
