Argos confirmed the online ordering problems around one hour ago and it looks like the website is still not working at the time of writing. It is not known how long the site will be down for, but they have gone on Twitter to apologise for the inconvenience and is doing its best to get the site up as soon as possible.
Shoppers are already venting their anger on Twitter, as they have been trying to get on the Argos website to get their Christmas shopping done early, especially as they have some great offers at the moment. However, it would seem this is not an issue after all, and is planned maintenance.
When visiting the website we are told the reason the site is offline is because the team are working on making things better, which we can only presume is ready for the Christmas rush.

We do find it funny when some consumers say Argos has lost a sale due to the website being down and have gone elsewhere, it’s like they cannot wait a couple of hours for things to go back to normal – well better according to Argos.
Seeing as though Argos get around 340 million visitors per year, it is no wonder we have seen such a reaction, but try to hold tight and things will be up and running before you know it.
