The NHTSA has announced a huge recall for a number of car brands all with defective airbags, and as a result has urged people that own one of the affected vehicles to take the apropitate action. The list of brands are BMW, GM, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota. More than 4.7 million vehicles are included in these recalls, and from what has been reported it has resulted in the death of four people.

Reason for the recall – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that a faulty inflator mechanism can rupture the air bag, which could lead to metal fragments spraying the passengers in the vehicle.
