Google announced the Nexus 9 tablet just hours ago, but we can already see some retailer activity in the US. Those looking to buy one at the first opportunity may want to head to T-Mobile USA, as we can see that the carrier are now offering a Nexus 9 pre-order registration page.
The page is now live at the time of writing, allowing those who want to get Google’s new Android 5.0 Lollipop Nexus 9 tablet on T-Mobile as a preference. That of course means access to T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network, which the company still claims is the ‘fastest in America’.
Although you may dispute that claim, it’s great to see the ball rolling so quickly after Google’s event. The sign-up is easy, simply submit your details and T-Mobile will notify you the minute that their pre-orders start for real.
Although you may see this as no advantage with other consumers sitting there making their fingers bleed with refreshing, there’s no set time for when the orders will start – so this email heads-up could prove to be crucial for you.
The big question for us, is whether T-Mobile will make that $399 tablet completely free with a new 4G contract with the carrier, or if they will still make consumers pay an up-front fee.
Let us know if you are going to buy your Nexus 9 with T-Mobile and if you agree that they are the fastest 4G network in America.
