If you own an iPad running iOS 7 or above, then you will be able to make use of the Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor companion app by By Wikia, Inc. The developer states this is the official app to the game, but how come the games developer or publisher has not mentioned this? There is also the fact this app is unavailable on Android devices.

That being said, this is still a worthwhile app to have if you own a copy of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, as it allows the game to become so much more. There are many times in the game that you are uncertain off, and so official Shadow of Mordor Palantir app uses advanced audio-sync technology to listen to the gameplay on your console or PC, and then generate highly-accurate information in real-time. This information that comes to you is thanks to fans of Wikia.

Wikia is a huge source of information for games of this type, and so the app is able to call upon this information the moment it is needed within the game.

The app (more details on iTunes) comes with two modes, those are Reader and Sync mode. This allows you to search through the database of knowledge at your pleasure, so you know what you can expect to encounter throughout the game. Sync mode is the system we mentioned earlier, where the information comes to you automatically.
