BF4 for free before PS Plus October 1st news

By Daniel Chubb - Oct 1, 2014

You can now try Battlefield 4 for free on PS3 before the PlayStation Plus October 1st news arrives today for this months update. As far as we are aware, this BF4 free trial isn’t available on PS4 and is only for PS Plus members, although it won’t replace anything on your October free games lineup.

We previously explained that officials pointed towards October 1st, as the date we will find out what free games will be included in the October 2014 PS Plus lineup and today is that day. The BF4 free trial started within the last 24 hours on PS3.

You can get a feel for the “all-out war” gameplay within BF4 by signing into PSN on your PS3, and then heading to the PlayStation Store. Once there, search for the game and select “BATTLEFIELD 4”, then you will see a link stating “Full Game Trial”. This allows you to download the full game for free on a 168-hour trial basis with the benefit of enjoying both multiplayer and single-player.

There will no doubt be a few updates for BF4, so install these and then get playing. You might want to do all this way before you want to play, as it could take some time.

Will you be taking advantage of the PS3 free Battlefield 4 trial and if you’re on PS4, what games do you hope to see within your PS Plus subscription this month? We listed some last minute predictions yesterday, so feel free to take a look at these titles or leave your wishes in the comments.
