2015 Aston Martin Lagonda gets James Bond treatment

By Peter Chubb - Oct 1, 2014

Many journalists who went to see the new 2015 Aston Martin Lagonda seem to agree that its reveal was like something from a James Bond movie, as you are taken to a facility that seems unwilling to share what it is hiding. The security is tight, and the room where the Lagonda resides is in total darkness, until the lights flicker to life to show off Aston Martin’s latest project.

Don’t expect any fancy gadgets in this Aston Martin though, as this is a serious machine that is back after a long hiatus, but has it been worth the wait? We cannot say how much success the company will have with the vehicle, especially when it has a specific market in mind.

That market is the Middle East, and while they do have deep pockets, it seems a little silly just to focus on one market. One has to wonder if the new Lagonda was the right model to go with?

According to a report on Autocar, it is thought that between 60 and 70 percent of the old Lagonda can be found in the Middle East, and so that is the main reason why Aston Martin believes this is the perfect market.

We have yet to see a 2015 Aston Martin Lagonda review video of a test drive, but we do expect to see them start to appear soon, especially with the Paris Motor Show just days away.

  • The basic roofline and proportions are great but it looks like it can use a whole lot more R&D. A lot of details are lacking IMO
