Clash of Clans down for Gem boost removal update

By Alan Ng - Sep 30, 2014

We have a quick heads-up to bring Clash of Clans players now, as developers Supercell have once again told players that Clash of Clans will be down today in order for a maintenance break on September 30.

For those hoping for a sneaky update though, this won’t be the case. Instead, Supercell have already told the community that the Clash of Clans maintenance break will be in order to remove the 1 gem resource boost that was gifted to players recently for a limited time only.

Now it is time for that bonus to disappear, so hopefully most of you have taken full advantage of it whilst it was live. Confirmation of the Clash of Clans downtime can be seen in the Tweet below which was posted by Supercell within the hour.

As we are now approaching the start of a new month, some players will already be looking ahead with excitement with regards to the Clash of Clans October update.

We still think it is a while off yet though, as Supercell gave players a lot of new content indeed when launching the recent Lava Hound troops patch.

Let us know if your game has just gone down in your area. Did you make full use of the Gem boost? What are you hoping to see in the next major update?
