iPhone 6 Plus Bent in Apple Store

By Alan Ng - Sep 29, 2014

By now, most of you would have heard about the rumors claiming that Apple’s new iPhone 6 Plus model is prone to bending. Now, we have more evidence to show you, with a new iPhone 6 Plus bend test thanks to some amateur footage shot direct inside Apple App Stores.

While Apple are insisting that the issue is not widespread, the urge to take matters into their own hands has already reached many iPhone fans who want to test out the theory for themselves.

We are now seeing a situation where many consumers are heading into Apple Stores around the world and attempting to bend the iPhone 6 Plus on test models on show in-store.

We can bring you evidence of this, with one video in particular that has been doing the rounds on social media, showing two UK teenagers physically bending a phone inside one UK Apple Store.

There has been other instances of in-store bending elsewhere, but this video is the one that has been heavily publicised and it will be interesting to see if Apple seek damages against those responsible – who have since been forced to issue an apology on the matter.

Judging by the video itself, it does appear to show that the devices can bend if enough force is applied. Having said that, we also see that the iPhone 6 Plus does not bend easily so we don’t think it is a crisis situation yet for all new owners.

Kids that clearly cannot afford these phones bending and breaking. WOW. I would literally make them and their parents pay for each phone.

That’s just vandalism! They need to pay for every phone they bent plus community service!
