Ford F-150 Configurator, 2015 final power train specs MIA

By Peter Chubb - Sep 26, 2014

You would have thought with the release of the new Ford F-150 Configurator tool now live we would know the final power train specs, but we’re afraid they are still MIA. Maybe Ford want to make this a big thing when they reveal those specs, and so could announce them next month in Paris?

You should not let that small detail get in the way of what should be regarded as good news, because the release of the 2015 Ford F-150 Configurator means we are getting ever closer to these new trucks going on sale in the US.

We have already seen a few people play around with the tool, and we find it funny how they always seem to configure it to the most expensive it can be, although we did exactly the same. However, for illustration purposes, we did go a little basic on the images that you see above and below.

The 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch is the most expensive model to configure, which totaled a massive $65,955. However, what we also found interesting is a new color choice called Blue jeans, although we are sure you will find some other intriguing options hidden in the configurator.

We thought we would add a video below showing how the 2015 Ford F-150 compares to the Chevy 6.2L High Country and Ram eco-diesel in a drag race.
