SingStar PS4 release date listed finally

By Daniel Chubb - Sep 24, 2014

The SingStar PS4 release date has finally been listed and it comes exactly when we thought, which is after some server work taking place next month. The date you can download SingStar on your PS4 will be October 28th along with the companion app as well, although those in the UK can get hands-on from October 24th.

PlayStation’s official Twitter account revealed this news at the start of this week. Dedicated fans that haven’t upgraded to PS4 might be hoping for a SingStar Edition from the start of November, although we haven’t heard any news in regard to this.

One of the Product Reviews team spent well over £1,000 on songs for their PS3 version of SingStar, so they’ve been waiting for this digital launch for some time.

Two versions – you can settle for the free download named, SingStar. Or, you can purchase the SingStar Ultimate Party edition on disc that comes with 30 tracks. Both versions will feature the ability to use USB microphones, or download a companion app to turn your iPhone or Android phone into a mic.

Prices for SingStar PS4 songs will remain the same, as the PS3 version before. Any songs previously purchased on PS3 can be downloaded for free to your PS4, as long as they are available for the new console through PSN.
