Even though Apple has updated the keyboard in iOS 8 that does not mean it will offer you the kind of experience that you have grown to love with various apps, but fear not because there are already alternative keyboards optimized to work with iOS 8, and so we thought we would suggest a handful for you.
iOS 8 alternative keyboard list – The first app is called SwiftKey Keyboard and works with the iPad, iPod touch and iPhone, and what we like about this app is how it will learn from you. The new keyboard comes with some fancy new features, and will adapt to your writing style. Some of its other features include super-accurate autocorrect, as well as intelligent next-word prediction. The app is free, more details of which can be found on iTunes.
If you do not mind spending $1.99, then you could consider Minuum – The Little Keyboard for Big Fingers. Not only will you be able to type faster with the use of this app, but you can see more of your screen. What we also like about this keyboard app for iOS 8 is how people with big fingers can still use it with ease. If you are thinking of downloading this one, then you better hurry, as it will go back up to its full price of $3.99 soon.
Swype – Keyboard is another good option, and is cheaper than the app above at just $0.99, although not as good as free. Some of its main features are intuitive language models that can learn by what you type, there are five themes, and you can quickly enter symbols. For more details visit iTunes.
The final app that we think you should consider is Keymoji : Emoji Autocomplete Keyboard, which we recently discussed.
We hope that you like these alternative iOS 8 keyboards, but if you have any more you would like to add to the list, then please do so below.
