iOS 8 public release notes

By Peter Chubb - Sep 17, 2014

iOS 8 was released around two hours ago, and many of you are already experiencing issues, which we recently discussed. However, for those of you who never had such problems and are now enjoying the latest update, we thought you might like to have a read over the iOS 8 public release notes.

The latest version of iOS is said to be the biggest update yet, although there is no change to its design, as that took place last year. Each year Apple informs us that the new update contains hundreds of new features, which is also the case with iOS 8, even though we never really get to see all of them.

iPhone Hacks has published the entire release notes for iOS 8, so now you will be able to study everything the new mobile OS has to offer. There are improvements to messages, photos, the camera, Siri, along with some new additions, such as Health, QuickType keyboard, Family Sharing and so on.

We ask that you take a moment and study all of those new features and let us know what you think of them. One thing is for sure; I do not like the new Smart Albums. I used to like how you could see all of the photos in one place, but now they are separated into categories. You should have the option to show all, or categories.

Are you happy with the new features in iOS 8, or are there some things you just cannot get on with?

I will have a play with iOS 8 throughout the rest of the day and will then offer my very own hands-on review because there are retain to be one or two things that I will need to get off my chest.
