We know that with streaming services content is king, although there is far more to worry about than just new Netflix releases in October, November and December, as the company has to warm consumers to the idea that they wish to subscribe to an American company.
Netflix France equivalent video-on-demand services have been on a huge push to provide more content for its subscribers because they know the might of Netflix and its mass of content could prove too much and will lure customers away.
Some rival services in France are upset that Netflix manages to get around a rule that says that 40 percent of its content in the country has to be French in origin. However, Netflix does not wish to get into such a debate in a new market, and so has one aim in mind, and that is to prep for a huge amount on content.
It is a shame that the likes of the US still has far more content than the UK, and this will no doubt be the case for those who sign-up to Netflix in France as well. There are ways to get US content in other countries, although you are advised not to do this for legal reasons.
Do you believe that Netflix will be welcomed in France, along with other European countries in the coming months?
