There’s a number of Apple Watch apps in development right now and we managed to see early versions of these during Apple’s September keynote. The aim of Apple’s Watch is to make using an iPhone easier and to bring the classic watch into the world of technological innovation, but at the same time using applications to make your life simpler.
We’ve featured a couple of apps that many of our readers already use on their iPhone and iPad. These include an Apple Watch version of the Pinterest social image sharing app, and also the American Airlines app that will really take advantage of the Apple Watch being on your wrist at almost all times.
With the American Airlines Apple Watch app you’ll be able to use your new smartwatch to collect bags, or check in, with ease and with a simple tap.
Apple Watch apps in development – other app partners revealed during the keynote include a Nike app, Lutron for controlling your home lighting and Honeywell for setting the temperature directly from your Apple Watch, and MLB for real-time sports news. BMW will be offering an Apple Watch app that locates your car with a map on your wrist, and there will be plenty of travel apps in time with Starwood Hotels jumping in first, as seen at the event.
These are just a few of the Apple Watch apps we know are currently in development and will be ready for launch next year. What Apple Watch apps would you love to see release with the device in 2015? Is there any apps you can think of that didn’t showcase at the event and you would like?
