Dead Rising 3 PC performance problems

How are you getting on with Dead Rising 3 on PC after a few days since its official launch? Some had managed to unlock the game early on Steam with some sneaky tactics, but the biggest talking point now is Dead Rising 3 PC performance problems with many saying that they are having difficulty running the game with an acceptable framerate.

With this in mind, most of you will be glad to hear that Digital Foundry have now completed their own analysis on the game, but unfortunately it confirms what most of you have been saying about the game’s performance.

They have concluded through their own testing that they were unable to recommend any CPU/GPU combination at all that could run Dead Rising 3 on PC at a solid 60 frames per second and at 1080p resolution.

The team were even using a powerful Intel Core i5 3570k with 4.5GHz speeds, combined with the trusty Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 graphics system. Using this set-up though, they were only able to achieve a solid 60FPS when dropping the resolution to 720p.

As other gamers have also pointed out, Dead Rising 3 PC load times also appear to be a problem with the game, noticeably when trying to go back and forth between the main menu.

Further findings on the game’s issues led us to a whole thread about the game’s PC performance on Reddit, with the creator going further to say that the game is ‘currently broken’ and constantly crashes.
