Destiny servers are not available until this time

By Daniel Chubb - Sep 7, 2014

The Destiny servers are not available right now, but they will go live at 3am EST on September 9. If you are at the other end of the United States, then you will find the servers release from their shackles at midnight.

Those of you that placed a digital pre-order on PS4 or Xbox One, can now pre-load Destiny and this allows you to get playing the moment servers are live. This is another advantage to purchasing games through a digital option rather than retail box, especially considering price has always been an issue.

If you buy Destiny on PS3 or Xbox 360, but later decide to upgrade to PS4/Xbox One then you can do so for free. It’s great to see publishers taking this step and not charging gamers a fee to upgrade, which can only encourage more people to upgrade to the latest generation and keep playing Destiny.

Let us know if you still find the Destiny servers unavailable after the planned start time, or if you run into any problems once the game is live? We’ll of course update Product Reviews readers once everything officially kicks off.
