We are taking a look at PS4 error codes before the PSN maintenance taking place today, as we know many of Product Reviews readers won’t know about the schedule for August 28. Like many times before, gamers will go to sign in to PSN and think it’s down today rather than expecting maintenance after so many attacks.
If you notice PSN not working when trying to sign in after the maintenance start time, 5:40PM UK and 9:40am PST, then you are more than likely to see one the PS4 error codes mentioned below. We’re taking a look at the current generation of Sony consoles thanks to there being new error messages not known by most gamers.
The first up is CE-33992-6 that stands for an Internet connection test error, although you will most likely see this when having issues during a test of your broadband when PSN is undergoing maintenance. There’s plenty of other error codes you could receive on PS3 or PS4 when running connection tests and these range from CE-33983-6 to CE-33990-4.
Main codes for PSN is undergoing maintenance are E-82F001F7 for external errors, NP-35000-8 for a network server error along with NP-31952-0 that comes with the status message “could not connect to the network”. These messages will either ask you to try and sign in again, or try later, but all will be related to the PSN maintenance scheduled for today.
You might even receive a web view error when in the browser and this chucks out the code WS-37504-9. Another popular message comes with the NW-31456-9 and NW-31448-0 error codes on PS4, which are related to servers being temporarily unavailable for either the game or PlayStation Network.
How long will the PSN maintenance last today? It runs for just over 6 hours, so in the UK that’s a start time of 5:40PM and end time of 12:50am on August 29. If you notice problems before this or an even longer downtime, then please share a comment with your local city.
