We knew it was likely going to happen, but today Apple confirmed the September 9th event date by sending out an invitation to the masses of press waiting for this news. Not only that, but the invites tell very little and in fact much less than previous graphics.
It might be very telling that Apple has chosen to state on their September 9th event invitation, “wish we could say more”. This in itself could reveal one of the biggest product launches in years, and it seems many analysts believe this possibility.
The only other text on the invite states, “9.9.2014”, which of course is the planned date. The iPhone 6 will appear during the keynote, but we also expect to see two different sizes and the latest rumors claim an iWatch will be at the same event.
We’ve said previously that it would be the right thing to do, as Apple’s iPhone 6 could help sell millions of iWatch devices, so putting them on stage together will be a smart move in our opinion. You can also expect to see iOS 8 beta Gold Master go live for developers on the above date as well.
This year you will see the event take place at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, and at 10AM local time as normal. What are you expecting this year?
