The iOS 8 Gold Master release date is what developers should be focused on now that beta 6 notes appeared for partners only. We expected the iOS 8 beta 6 release notes to appear a couple of days ago, although it quickly became evident this wasn’t going to happen and in the last few hours we’ve heard exclusive Apple partners got eyes on with seed 6.
We are hearing the Apple partners have until September 5th to look over the latest preview build, which developers aren’t allowed access to. If we are to see an Apple iPhone 6 event on September 9th, then this only leaves time for the iOS 8 GM to share an iPhone 6 launch date like it did in previous years.

You can take a look at the full changelog given to partners through the tweet above. After considering the latest information, it’s now clear developers next download will be the iOS 8 GM in the first half of September and they won’t get a 6th beta in 2014.
You should also note that certain new iOS 8 features will be kept secret and hidden from partners/developers, so meaning they’ll be for Apple employee eyes only until the iOS 8 Gold Master releases next month. These expected features are not even in the beta 6 build given to Apple partners, and the main reason for this is how they would reveal iPhone 6 specs before the official launch.
