Now that the Hyundai i20 Elite price has been unveiled in India we can now see how well it compares to its closest rivals, although it is the Active variant of Fiat Punto Evo that seems to be its nearest competitor. Before we get going, we would just like to say that the base price for the new i20 Elite is Rs 4.89 lakh for the petrol version.
The new Hyundai i20 Elite vs. Active variant of Fiat Punto Evo – The base model of the Elite is the Era trim, which as we said will cost Rs 4.89 lakh, which is compared to Rs 4.55 lakh for the Fiat Punto Evo Active.
The base Elite comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine with an output of 89 horsepower and a 1.4 diesel engine, compared to 1.2 liter and 1.4 liter engines that produce around 67 and 89 horsepower respectively.
How they stack up – Both models come with AC, power steering, power windows, and central locking, but lack other basic features, such as CD player, and ABS. You can see a complete comparison of both models by heading over to CarDekho.
We have been left feeling a little disappointed in regard to the exterior design of the all-new Hyundai i20 Elite, as its concept pictures seemed to promise to bring a new lease of life to the model, but Hyundai has been a little too conservative with the design.
As for the Fiat Punto Evo, you still get those beautiful Italian curves that flows from the outside to the inside, although it is only the higher-end models that come out looking better with some much-needed added flare to the exterior and interior.
