Moto G vs. Nexus 5, Asus Zenfone 5 with varied prices

By Updated on

Comparing phones such as the Moto G, Nexus 5, and Asus Zenfone 5 is nothing new because this is common practice to give consumers a better understanding of what different phones have to offer. However, it would seem as though some people believe it is not good comparing phones with different price ranges, and while they might be right, we have seen these YouTube videos doing just that in the hope of offering more insight.

We can see why the Motorola Moto G and the Nexus 5 were compared to each other seeing as though they both came to the market last year, both of which have proved and are still two very popular smartphones. However, the Asus Zenfone 5 is a newer handset, and so it stands to reason why this handset would be included in a video to see how well it gets on.

It has been pointed out that the Nexus 5 costs more than the other two handsets, even though it is getting on a bit in age, but it is good to see if it can still stand up against a new Android smartphone, even with the price disparity.

The specs for each handset is as follows, with the Moto G first, the Nexus 5 second and the new Asus Zenfone 5 last. Processor wise we have a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core compared to a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core and 1.6GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor. We then have Adreno 305 GPU, 330 graphics and PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics.

Next we have the display, which are 4.5-inch IPS LCD, 4.95-inch TrueHD IPS+ and 5-inch IPS display. 2GB seems to be the choice in terms of RAM, although the Moto G only comes with 1GB. As for storage, we have 8GB and 16GB for the G and Zenfone 5 and 16GB and 32GB for the Nexus 5. You can see more of the features in the video below.

It is clear why the Zenfone 5 and Moto G are more affordable, but are you happy with them, or would you rather pay the extra and go with the still impressive Nexus 5 instead?
