Ferrari LaFerrari $3.4 million price premium

By Updated on

When a company such as Ferrari limits the number of vehicles from a new model, you know more often than not that there will be a premium to pay for those who managed to get their name and look to make a few bucks by selling it on. This is just the case with the Ferrari LaFerrari.

The sticker price for the LaFerrari is $1.7 million, but there are now reports that some people have been willing to pay $3.4 million, which is double the recommend price. This is a repeat process of the Ferrari Enzo, which cost $650k from the Prancing Horse, but such was the demand that some people were selling them on for seven figures.

It does seem silly to pay double the amount of a car that already has a sky-high price. We personally think this shows stupidity on the part of those willing to pay double of what a car is worth. However, for the sort of people who can afford such a hypercar, this is going to be pocket change for them.

With the Ferrari LaFerrari now costing some people $3.4 million, this puts it in the same price bracket as the Lamborghini Veneno or the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse roadster, although both these are even more limited in production numbers.

LaFerrari vs. P1 vs. 918 Spyder for price premium – It would seem as though Ferrari has won this round seeing as people are willing to pay $1.7 million over the top, whereas McLaren’s hypercar commands just over $500 thousand over the sticker price and $335k for Porsche’s hybrid motor.
