Nikon D810 review of settings in field test

By Updated on

We have already been treated to various reviews of the Nikon D810, and while they offered a general idea of what you were getting for your money, they were not in-depth enough to help make a rational decision. Thankfully, we have come across a Nikon D810 review of settings in what has been described as a field test.

The test can be seen in the video below, which has a running time of 9:19 and they are at Calgary to find out how much more the D810 is to the D800. We found it funny how they say the new model is 10 more than its predecessor, and so are going to show us 10 things about the camera that has changed.

One of the stand out features and had to mentioned as number one is the improved battery life. It might be of the same size, but battery life has been improved by up to 33 percent. The design is far better thanks to a new shallower grip, making it much easier to hold all day.

The next improved feature is a lovely OLED screen, which is a nicer experience when viewing images and changing the many settings. The new processor has now made video recording on the D810 better than that of the D800 and D800E, but not by much in terms of the latter model.

It is clear that the Nikon D810 is a superior camera overall, and so we would ask that you watch the video in its entirety to learn about all the new features. However, we do know that you will still be wondering how it compares to the D800 and 5D Mark III, and so we have a comparison for you here.
