We are just potentially hours away from the highly anticipated PS Plus August update release time in US. Sony has already given users a full heads-up on what to expect, with gamers looking forward to the releases of Fez and Road not Taken as the free PS4 games on offer.
We have already told you about how amazing Fez is, in a separate review here but we wanted to give you a heads-up on when to expect the content – especially if you are expecting to wake up on Tuesday morning in the UK and receive the update.
In actual fact, US gamers will receive the update first. The PlayStation Plus August update release time is on Tuesday August 4 for US only, while those in the UK and rest of Europe can download the update on Wednesday August 6.
With the July update, the release times varied once again. Those in the US were expecting the update to land during the early hours of Pacific Time but Sony kept users waiting even longer.
From what we can remember, the Europe PS Plus update for July did not arrive until around 6pm UK time, so you may be waiting a while again for the PS Plus update release time in UK, if Sony follow the same pattern for the August update.
If you are in the US now, it’s a good idea to start checking the store for the update in 5 hours time. Remember that you won’t see the games appear instantly in the IGC section – you’ll have to do a manual search to see the games if you want to start downloading the minute they go live, remember this.
Sony never offer set release times, so unfortunately this is all we have to go on at the moment. How excited are you though about Fez and Road not Taken? We see the usual complaints from those that are never satisfied whatever Sony do, but are you happy this month?
