The latest social app that is doing the rounds is actually a Mosquito app for Android and iPhone that claims to offer the ability to drive those pesky bugs away. Naturally consumers are pondering about the Mosquito app and does it work or not, so we have some evidence to provide you on this.
We all can say that we’ve had our fair share of mosquito bites each Summer, more so for those that live in tropical climates. Now though, a certain mosquito app is gaining the headlines for its claims to offer a way to detract mosquitos by using only a smartphone.
The app is called Anti Mosquito Sonic Repeller and it’s available to download now for free. It works by emitting an ultrasound frequency that apparently is a deterrent to mosquitos and now we have the results for you.
The app itself doesn’t claim to be a 100% fix to mosquito bites but it does say that it will help to improve the situation as long as the app is running next to you.
Several news outlets have already challenged this app to see if it works properly by going straight for extreme situations. Unfortunately though, it looks like the app isn’t very useful when dealing with multiple mosquitos at once in an environment where mosquitos love to hang out.
Just take a look at the results of one man’s arm when tested for NBCNews – the app was placed in close vicinity but the mosquitos didn’t seem to care one bit.

We have video evidence below to give you more testing for the mosquito app. The reviews have been mixed so far and perhaps we can see why some are saying that it doesn’t work properly.
Have you tested this app yourself with any success? Obviously you are not going to be putting yourself in a situation where 300 mosquitos can bite you, but it may still help in day to day situations when a single mosquito is flying nearby.
Watch the clips and let us know what you think of the Mosquito app buzz that is going around at the moment.
