Fez PS4 review for PS Plus August update

By Updated on

Hours ago we told you that the PS4 PS Plus update for August 2014 will include Fez and Road not Taken. Now we give you an opportunity to prepare in the best way by checking out a Fez PS4 review to show you exactly what you are in for on August 5.

August 5 is when Fez will go live on the PS4 and if you don’t already know, Fez is arguably one of the best indie games that you will ever play. Although we see many complaints about Sony offering indie games on PS Plus, going from Towerfall Ascension to Fez is going to be the best news that some fans have heard this week.

Fez has picked up amazing review scores from most critics, including a 9.5/10 from IGN who called it a “brilliant and beautiful platformer that needs to be played immediately”.

Elsewhere, we can see that Eurogamer have even given a perfect 10/10 score to Fez, which should tell you all you need to know about the quality of this game. Heading to Metacritic, there’s a current 90 metascore for the game too, so it’s fantastic scores all round truth be told.

Don’t jump on the bandwagon and see Fez as just another indie game. Give it a chance on August 5 and you may find yourself enjoying this game more than you would with a ‘AAA’ title such as Knack.

Are you looking forward to playing Fez on PS4 as part of the PS Plus August 2014 free games? Give us your reaction to its selection below.

The only issue I have is that a PS2 could run the game…as with Towerfall Ascension. I just wish they had more games to “stretch the legs” of the PS4 (paid not free). But you can’t complain when it’s free. Also a bit spewin that I bought Crysis 3 on PS Store when I got 3D TV a few months back. I recommend Crysis 3 in 3D to anyone with a 3D TV. Don’t get me wrong, not complaining as it is all free and I was happy to pay $20 for Crysis 3, so there is value in PS Plus…once again.
