With Land Rover overhauling some of its models from the start of next year, we are very excited by some of the changes planned. Take the Land Rover Discovery Sport for example, it will be a far cry from the current Land Rover Discovery model, even down to something as simple as its seating.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport seating capacity is that of a 5+2 layout, and so just like an MPV. You can see a good example of this in the image below, although there are more images to be found on the JLR website.
Believe it or not these images are a concept vehicle, they just look like renders because of the vinyl wrapping used on the exterior. However, they clearly show that third row of seats, which adds more practicality to the upcoming model.
Even though we do not have any technical specification for the Land Rover Discovery Sport and its new seating, there is a good chance they will fold forwards, as this will help increase load space in the rear, something these vehicles usually have plenty of.
With Jaguar Land Rover offering a mix of load space and configurable seating it should help make this upcoming vehicle stand out in the competitive SUV market. Having said that, it is not as if Land Rover has to try as hard as other car brands, as the SUV has been its bread and butter for so many years now.
The Discovery Sport will be released in 2015, although you will be able to see it unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October.
