2015 Ford F-150 small price increase for aluminum

By Updated on

The 2015 Ford F-150 price has been a huge topic of conversation because the company has made some big changes to this next generation model, and so we are under the assumption that Ford might have to be a little aggressive with pricing. If you are in the market for a new truck, then you will be pleased to learn that there is just a small increase in cost for all that aluminum.

Pricing for the Ford F-150 2015 models are rather respectable seeing as though the base model is to cost just $395 more than the current 2014 model. This is an amazing achievement for Ford, one that could see the F-150 rise to the top once again.

We had assumed that Ford would need to increase the price of the next-gen F-150 base model because of all that aluminum, so the company is either taking a hit on the profit made on each truck or they have managed to find ways in order to reduce production costs for this more advanced truck?

The price of the 2015 Ford F-150 XL starts at $26,615 and the XLT at $31,890. However, the Lariat is to cost $39,880, which is an increase of $895 over the 2014 equivalent.

It’s not all good news though because the 2015 F-150 King Ranch with its plush interior is to start at $49,460, a jump of $3,515. The top of the line model, the Platinum has a price of $52,155, which has increased by $3,055.

From what we are being told the increase in price over these higher-end models is not blamed as much on the aluminum bodies, but rather the improved levels of standard equipment you get in each model.
