Apple made the OS X Yosemite public beta live within the last 48 hours and we’ve seen a few problems, which includes an issue with the redeem code for those that signed up a number of weeks ago. If you did join the mail list you should have received your email by now with a redeem code, but did the download process go as expected?
The first issues being reported with Apple’s OS X Yosemite beta for public were in relation to not receiving an email, although most people saw those early teething problems solved fairly quickly. Then we heard about errors with the download from some people, but again this seemed to be related to server demand rather than anything else.
Yosemite Beta Program redeem code – today, we noticed this forum thread on the official Apple discussions website and you’ll see there’s a growing number of people having a problem with the redeem code for OS X 10.10.
It’s not exactly clear what’s going on, but we can see plenty of people explaining they get a message stating “already redeemed”. This happens after they try to redeem a code sent by Apple to their email, it’s not working for some.
There’s a few solutions being used, but it’s not working for everyone and this message was published just a few hours ago “I cannot get past the code redeemed issue”. This has left a few Mac owners looking for a way to get a code reset. We’d love to hear from any of our readers running into similar issues.
