Popcorn Time VPN support heading to Android

By Updated on

Popcorn Time is an app that allows Android, Mac, and Windows users to stream movies and TV shows for free. This statement alone puts it on shady ground, although the developers behind the app want to protect their users now with a VPN on the Android app with a future update just like they already do for Mac users.

We’ve taken a look at the official Facebook page and found two comments, one from a fan and the other from those behind the Popcorn Time app. When one user specifically asked for a Popcorn Time VPN, the official Facebook page was more than happy to oblige by saying the following statement:

“Most definitely!!! It’s already in the process and should be out in not too long, so stay tuned!!”

As you can see, the creators of the popular app are showing no sign in easing up on their relentless pursuit to provide users access to Hollywood movies that are available to watch almost instantly at the click of a button.

Once VPN Popcorn Time access for Android arrives, it is going to make it even harder for the powers above to stop the Popcorn Time or Time4Popcorn bandwagon as it’s also known.

Bottom-Line: We don’t endorse this app, but given the craze surrounding the Cartoon HD app, it’s easy to understand why people are using it as a knock-on aftermath effect.

We can also see coverage being given on sites like TechCrunch, The Next Web, and mainstream media explaining the makers claim that it will “never be taken down”.

What are your thoughts on this app? Do you think it is only a matter of time before it is taken down? Having said that, the Popcorn Time source code is already live we see meaning that it will always appear somewhere else.
