iOS 8 beta 4 253MB download live

Updated on

The iOS 8 beta 4 download is now live within the exclusive Dev Center for those with access, and this update arrived as expected on one of Apple’s favored days for releasing an updated preview of their mobile operating system. Developers can install the iOS 8 beta 4 build 12A4331d on an iPad and iPhone, as with previous releases, and we also know certain public users will gain access somehow as well.

We’ve featured a screenshot from within the developer portal below, which clearly reveals iOS 8 beta 4 is the latest download on the tab next to iOS 7 SDK. The release notes will detail all the changes and in the coming hours Product Reviews readers will be able to see exactly what’s changed, although at this time Apple hasn’t made the changelog available thanks to the update only just going live moments ago.

As we mentioned in our release time article, we hope to see the latest beta fix problems with the occasional black screen and one of our readers detailed a bug with deleting voicemail. We’ve also heard about problems with calendar invites in beta 3 and new email notifications not appearing on the lock screen.

Our developer is downloading iOS 8 beta 4 right now on an iPad mini first-gen and also testing on the iPhone 5 model A1429, so check back soon for the full release notes and our first impression with the latest preview build.

Update: The changelog can be found in the normal place on Apple’s developer website, or just look here.
