NBA 2K15 soundtrack list from Pharrell

By Updated on

Some big news from the world of basketball now as the NBA 2K15 soundtrack list just got better overnight. We don’t even know what tracks will be included yet, but 2K has just revealed that the entire NBA 2K15 song list is going to be compiled by none other than Pharrell Williams.

The mega producer and Grammy winner is going to be having a personal input into all of the song choices and the entire list is going to be revealed later this Summer by 2K.

When talking about the soundtrack, here is what Pharrell himself said about the deal taken from 2K’s press release:

“I tried to curate songs that were diverse but yet still proved to be motivational to gamers. It was important to me that the music complemented the on-court action of NBA basketball in NBA 2K15. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

2K meanwhile are obviously very happy with the move as they perhaps never thought that they would get lucky with signing one of the most internationally recognized in music culture today. Here is what a 2K spokesperson said in return about the deal:

“We really listened to our fans’ feedback on how we could improve their experience from a music standpoint, and we’re confident Pharrell’s collaboration in NBA 2K15 will impress players as much as it’s impressed us.”

You can see confirmation that Pharrell will pick the music as it appears on the official box art that 2K has just released as well – doesn’t Kevin Durant look good on the NBA 2K15 box after the season he’s had?

Obviously, the big question is what tracks Pharrell is going to choose for the NBA 2K15 music. Will he even be tempted to put a few songs that he has worked on we wonder?

If you are looking forward to the game, let us know what NBA 2K15 track list you want to see from Pharrell.
