Awaiting UC Browser update for iPad

By Peter Chubb - Jul 17, 2014

Five days ago saw the release of the UC Browser v9.8.9 for Android, which came with a host of improvements. However, as yet there is no sign of the UC Browser update for iPad, and so we are left wondering how long iOS users will have to wait until this download is made available to them?

The last time UC Browser was updated for iPad was back in February, although this only offered a bug fix and stability improvements. We are sure they will be unhappy with the range of new features and improvements Android users now have thanks to the latest version.

What iOS users have to look forward to in the upcoming iPad UC Browser update – If things go to plan, then iOS users will see the same new features, which include faster Facebook browsing thanks to FB Faster add-on, which increases speeds by 30-60 percent. We would hope to see the resume interrupted downloads from where it was last stopped, along with less waiting time and quicker start up times for the app.

Where is UC Browser for iPhone? – There had been a version for Apple’s smartphone, but for some reason that has been removed. However, we do believe it is still available for jailbroken iPhones, which is no consolation for those who did not wish to jailbreak. We can tell you the jailbroken version is now up to version 9.3.0.326 for the iPhone.

Just for your information, the Windows Phone 8 version was last updated in May and BlackBerry way back in 2012.
