We recently told you that the Doom Bots of Doom were coming to League of Legends in a new update. The new feature was available for preview early via the LoL PBE, but now we have confirmation from Riot Games that the Doom Bots are ready for a public release soon.
The PBE is the best way to test out new League of Legend patches before they are available to everyone else and those of you who have access will have already had a chance to witness the Doom Bots in action.
Now though, we bring you some news regarding a public launch but it may surprise one or two of you. Riot Games has released a statement on their website introducing the new feature to those that need the details.
However, the big surprise is that LoL Doom Bots are only going to be playable on the Fields of Justice from July 17 to July 27. That means you will only be able to enjoy this new feature for 10 days which may disappoint a lot of players who were expecting this as a permanent feature.
Either way, you will want to find the Doom Bots as soon as they are live as it gives you the chance to obtain a Doomtastic summoner icon for your collection.
Has Riot Games missed a trick here by limiting this new content though? Here’s some feedback from what we have gathered so far from the official LoL message boards.
As you can see, many are not happy at all and gamers are assuming that the reason Riot Games is limiting the Doom Bots feature is that they are worried that players may get bored after a while if they play too much.
What is your reaction to LoL Doom Bots for 10 days only? Do you see this as a positive for the game overall or not?
