The 2015 Vauxhall Corsa release is not until the autumn in the UK and ahead of its big reveal a few pictures have been made available, along with some limited details, such as engine options. This is the fifth-generation design, which comes with a range of updates that are aimed at improving sales, although these have already been very impressive since it took over from the Nova.
Big shoes to fill – The Corsa is the second favorite small car in the UK behind the Ford Fiesta, and so Vauxhall has to up its game if it wants to keep that title, or even go one better and take that top spot – although this is a tough ask.
The next generation Corsa is still based on the current model, although there are substantial upgrades, which begins at the front with a one-piece grille and headlamps that help to make the small car look that much wider front on. Mark Adams, GM Europe’s chief designer said that it is so important to exaggerate the look of a car, and you can clearly see in the image below that his design team has managed to do just that.
2015 Vauxhall Corsa engine options – These will be pretty similar to the current model, although there is a new three-cylinder turbo untit with a choice of 89 and 113 horsepower. There’s also a de-tuned 1.4-liter engine pushing out just 98 horsepower, and while it might be small, it just wants to propel you forward.
Seeing as though the fifth generation Vauxhall Corsa will not be officially unveiled until the Paris Motor Show in October, we will have to wait until then before we learn about pricing and given a full specs list.
