GTA V desired on Mac after PC news

By Updated on

The moment we heard about GTA V for PC it didn’t surprise us to see Mac owners asking if the game will be coming to their platform, although you wouldn’t normally purchase an Apple Mac computer for gaming. With that said, some people are still wondering if GTA V for Mac will ever happen?

One obvious problem is with GTA IV and the fact that the previous game in this franchise hasn’t released on Mac, and it’s now over 6 years old. Apple’s Mac App Store has seen GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, so it just might take a while before these titles land on Mac.

Mac capacity rumors – there’s also been rumors in forums about GTA V not coming to Mac thanks to a “capacity” problem, although this hasn’t been confirmed officially. Rockstar does recognize Mac gamers and this was seen with Max Payne 3 releasing on Mac in 2014, although GTA V is a much bigger selling game.

This is what one Mac OS X user had to say, “The Mac gaming industry is getting bigger every year, I feel Rockstar need to take notice of this and release GTA V for Mac. After seeing other recent titles launch on Mac, I’m hoping we’ll see GTA V follow next year at some point”.

Would you love to see GTA V for Mac? There’s the option of running Windows on Mac with Boot Camp, which might allow you to run GTA V on your Mac. If you’ve tried installing GTA V on a Mac that’s running Windows, share a comment below.
