When Nikon finally announced the D800 successor, the D810 we were given a shipping date of July 17th, which is just over a week away. However, it would seem that some people have already started to receive their new DSLR from Nikon, which had led to some confusion.
Updated Nikon D810 shipping status – A select few who had pre-ordered the D810 had expected to wait until mid-July to get their hands on their new purchase, but a quick look on the shipping status of where they ordered them showed them out for delivery, and now a few lucky individuals have been seeing if the camera lives up to the hype.
While some people have taken to Instagram to show off their new Nikon DSLR, another decided to treat us to a short Nikon D810 unboxing video. This is not an in-depth hands-on review, just a short video to tease other people who have pre-ordered one and still have over a week to wait.
Now that people have started to receive shipments of the D810, it shouldn’t be too long before we begin to see user reviews, which always gives us a far better idea of what these new features mean, and if they are as good as what the critics tell us.
No Nikon D810 manual as yet – What we do find strange is how people have started to receive their D810 already, yet Nikon has yet to upload the user manual so owners can download them. This tells us that a few online stores have been rather cheeky by shipping these new DSLRs out early, but we’re not about to complain.
