Latest Gmail update improves language support

If we were to take a trip down memory lane when it came to email, Yahoo Mail seemed to be one of the most popular options, maybe not for its features but the catchy tune that was played. However, times have moved on, and while some people are not huge fans of Gmail, there is no denying that Google Mail is now one of the more popular email clients.

Google has been hard at it over the past few months, what with giving it a new visual update and improved UI, and now improved language support. Gmail now supports 71 languages, with the latest Gmail update increasing the number by 13.

If the service was not already popular enough, it is about to get a lot more popular. According to Goggle, this now means Gmail supports 94 percent of the Internet population, which means its goal of 100 percent is not that far away, meaning there will soon be no language barrier.

The 13 new languages can be seen on the Official Gmail Blog. Google has had to work very closely with linguists seeing as though each language has its very own nuances, meaning the tone and style has to be spot on.

It does not matter what language you write in, Google has now made it far easier for you to stay in touch with more people just by clicking a small button, well a virtual button.
