Persistent GTA V iFruit compatibility issues following update

The GTA V companion app, iFruit received an update last month that never came with any new features, just a few bug fixes. This latest update has not gone down too well with users, as they are still upset over the persistent compatibility issues with some Android devices. You cannot blame them, as you would have assumed Rockstar would have already been on top of this by now.

Having said that, it is not like iOS where there are only a few types of devices to worry about compatibility, as with Android it is like a minefield with the number of smartphones and tablets to try to make the app work on.

One angry Android user contacted us to say that, “My Samsung Galaxy S3 is not that old so how come only the newest Android devices are supported, as it’s a kick in the teeth.” This also seems to be the same for the Amazon Fire HD.

It’s not just compatibility that has angered some Android users, as some of them have been experiencing several issues since updating the GTA V iFruit app.

Some people seem unable to sign in, even after trying to change passwords, as well as asking that Rockstar allow iFruit users to sign in with Facebook, as this could save a whole load of issues.

It would seem that the latest iFruit update has created far more problems than fixed them, and so we await a new update, which we hope to see very soon.
