Some Apple fans wondered if the new iPod touch 6th generation had released after a refresh last week, although this was in fact just a minor change to colors, etc. This development then left some people in a situation, as they’ve been waiting for the new iPod touch 6G for many months and don’t know whether to upgrade now or wait and see if something new launches in late 2014.
This decision is the same choice thousands are considering and we’ve seen a number of tweets on this very topic. One of these tweets can be seen below, which involved a few Apple fans tweeting each other and asking questions about the refreshed iPod touch. One of these people will now likely purchase Apple’s updated portable media player, thanks to lacking faith in anything new coming soon.

Why do you think Apple released an updated iPod touch? Do you still believe we will see a new generation at the end of this year?
Personally, it would make sense for Apple to try and increase sales of any product with refreshes from time-to-time. This is why the iPod touch received a small update in our opinion, although the real question is whether the change was done as a small adjustment before the 6th-gen releases, or if this really is the only update coming for the iPod touch in 2014? Share your expectations below.
If you can wait, then we suggest you hold off purchasing until the end of this year just in case Apple’s traditional two year release is still on with a radically improved iPod touch 6G.
