Eng v Uruguay prediction lacks new Sterling, Rooney position

Updated on

Now we’re under 24 hours from seeing the Uruguay vs. England World Cup match, new prediction videos are popping up on YouTube at an increasing rate and one of the latest takes a look at the England lineup and plays out a game of FIFA 14 to see who the winner will be. Sadly, this fan has forgotten a vital change to positions for Liverpool FC’s Raheem Sterling and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney.

It’s now expected that Wayne Rooney will change from playing down the left for England into a more central position. R Sterling will also move, although it’s not clear exactly where he will play tomorrow night, but he’s been quoted this week telling the press he’ll be happy to play almost anywhere.

R Sterling showed real class in England’s first World Cup game against Italy, so we really hope he’s put in a place where he can play equally as good and Wayne Rooney really needs to deliver if a lot of fuss is being made about where he plays. Fans have seen Rooney brings the goods when playing for Manchester United, but he’s yet to do that in World Cup finals.

What’s your prediction for the England vs. Uruguay World Cup match tomorrow night? Also, what positions would you like to see Rooney and Sterling play?

Take a look at the FIFA 14 gameplay and prediction below, then share a comment on the result. The player in the video has Liverpool FC’s D. Sturridge ST and R. Sterling CAM, as the front men with D. Welbeck LM and W. Rooney RM backing them up. Personally, we’d like to see this changed a little with Rooney in the middle, although we’d love to hear your ideal placements in the comments.
