We have had the amazing GTA V PS4 trailer from Rockstar during E3, but the main talking point right now seems to be the GTA V upgrade. Rockstar hash’t made an announcement on this yet, but those who have already played the game are hoping to utilize GTA V $10 upgrade on PS4 or Xbox One.
As most of you are well aware, there are many games that released on PS4 and Xbox One which were available as a $10 upgrade if you previously owned the game on last gen.
These included big name titles such as COD Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed 4, Final Fantasy XIV and much more. As a result, gamers are expecting the same treatment with GTA V – although Rockstar may decide that their upgrade may warrant users paying full price again.
GTA V on PS4 and Xbox One will not only include a massive graphics upgrade, but it will also come with new weapons, new jobs, new vehicles and new property that is not included on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
It’s clear to see that Rockstar are not just bringing a standard port to next-gen, they are going to extra mile to ensure that there can be no complaints even from those who have put hours into the current version.

Worth the money? Even with all of the extras though, is the game still worth $60 if you have already played and completed it? Hardcore GTA fans may say yes after watching the stunning trailer, but those who don’t have money to burn may find it more difficult to spend more money on essentially the same game.
We are yet to see a confirmation on a $10 upgrade for The Last of Us, so there is no guarantee that this will be a done deal with regards to GTA V. We wouldn’t be surprised if there isn’t an upgrade incentive for $10 due to the massive nature of the upgrade and effort required – but we also understand from a gamer’s point of view why an upgrade would be nice to see.
Gamers have certainly been making their voices heard over on Twitter, with countless requests to Rockstar to ‘do the right thing’. Let us know where you stand after watching the trailer and having already played on PS3 or Xbox 360.
Are you willing to pay full price for this game again or will you only buy if you can upgrade for $10?
