It’s amazing to think some people are having problems getting Xbox One to turn on by voice and state this feature is not working, especially considering there’s now an Xbox On TV ad glitch being experienced by many users.
We’ve heard from Product Reviews gamers complaining that the sound from a TV commercial is turning on their system. It makes sense that the Xbox One will interact with sounds in the room, if it’s not tuned to a certain voice, and we’ve seen this before with Samsung HDTVs bringing up controls thanks to people talking in the room.
This is what one of our readers said, “My Xbox One switched on every time the new June Xbox One commercial is playing with Aaron Paul, it’s thanks to him saying Xbox On at the start and funny thing is, it doesn’t always work for me but Paul has no problem turning on my Xbox”.
HAHAHA omg. @aaronpaul_8 just turned my Xbox One via the Xbox advert. (Which triggered the IR blaster to switch my TV off..) Amazing.

You can see the short Xbox On TV ad below this article that features the so-called glitch, although we guess this is something Microsoft might need to address with a software update to stop other programming from doing the same. We’ve also included a longer TV commercial with Aaron Paul playing Titanfall in the second video, although that advert doesn’t contain the “Xbox On” voice command.
What’s your thoughts on television’s playing ads that turn on the Xbox One automatically? Have you had this problem?
