One feature Apple users wanted was to be able to AirDrop between iOS and Mac, which is now finally possible thanks to an announcement during the WWDC 2014 keynote. This means iOS 7, 8 will AirDrop to Mac OS X 10.10 and bring a new level of integration between phone and Mac computer.
This is a feature we’ve touched on in the past with how many users have been crying out for it, and even mentioned about the optimism for iOS 8 AirDrop to Mac OS X 10.10 a few days ago, which now proved correct after the announcement at WWDC moments ago.
The Mac OS X 10.10 developer edition is up for download today, although a public release won’t arrive until fall. Something totally new is a public beta in the summer, so this means the general public get to give Yosemite a hands-on test for bugs and find out first hand how good it is.
Will you be aiming to get hands-on with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite in 2014? Let us know in the comments, and how happy you are that we will finally get to AirDrop between iOS and Mac.
