First Watch Dogs ctOS app update for potential

By Peter Chubb - Jun 2, 2014

It’s been almost a week now since Watch Dogs was released, along with its companion app, ctOS, and it is evident that all is not going according to plan. We have already documented the problems that users are having with this app, one of which includes constant network errors, and with this in mind, what do you look for in the first Watch Dogs ctOS app update?

The way to get a general consensus of what Watch Dogs ctOS app users want is by looking at the comments on iTunes and the Google Play Store, as they don’t pull any punches.

After reading several of these comments we managed to get a clearer picture of what needs to be updated in the next version of the Watch Dogs ctOS app, and not just improving connection.

The app is said to be very slow to set up, and so it would be good to help speed this process up a little. Even though this is a companion app, it still feels a bit detached, and so improved integration would be welcome. What else would you like to see improved with the first app update?

Ubisoft needs to put a lot more effort into this app, seeing as though it is a new game, and the first edition of the app, we have to give Ubisoft the benefit of the doubt. However, once it receives its first update, only then can the Watch Dogs ctOS app achieve its full potential.
