Those of you who grew up watching the Reading Rainbow TV show will be very surprised to hear that the show is making a comeback. A Kickstarter for Reading Rainbow app has emerged, with funding having already gone through the roof from delighted consumers.
Now, Reading Rainbow is coming back and is aiming to put the reading educational tools on every connected platform possible. This vision can be seen on the Kickstarter page here and you can see that consumers are already throwing their money at the project.
In the space of a few days, the funding has already smashed $3,000,000, with over 70,000 backers and still a month to go until the project is officially funded. The fact that original host LeVar Burton is heading the project is an instant win in many consumer’s minds as don’t forget there is nothing quite like recapturing childhood memories.
Teachers across the world are also paying attention to the current status of the Reading Rainbow app for teachers as it could drastically improve a child’s reading capabilities at a young age if not only Reading Rainbow is available to them, but also the fact that Reading Rainbow will be available for free.
Have you donated your $5 to the project to do your part? It’s amazing to see that almost 15,000 consumers have donated $5 to help Kickstart Reading Rainbow and help to turn it into a reality.
Give us your reaction to how the project is going so far and if you can see the benefits of a Reading Rainbow app for your own children at a young age.
