Some of our readers might wonder why the Apple TV events icon is not showing today, although don’t worry as this is perfectly normal every year for the day before the Worldwide Developers Conference. You will get to see the events icon appear on Apple TV during the course of their keynote day, which normally shows up several hours before the keynote start time.
On some occasions a restart of the Apple TV might be needed to fix any problems with the events icon not showing, so we’d certainly recommend a couple of restarts by holding the Menu and Down buttons for at least six seconds.
The app icon changed last year to one detailing the year in Roman numerals, WWDC MMXIII, and we’d expect something similar this year rather than the traditional logo with events text.
Will you be watching the event live on Apple TV this year? Keep connected to Product Reviews on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus as we’ll be sure to let our readers know when the Apple TV events icon starts to show on devices around the world. Last year we noticed the icon appear early in the UK morning, although that could be the night before for our US readers considering the 10am PDT start time.
